Meta House

About Us

Meta House ends the generational cycle of addiction by healing women and strengthening families. We are a public charity, or non-profit organization, and we rely on public and private-sector support to fund our work. We were one of the first residential treatment facilities in the country designed specifically for women with substance use disorders, and have been providing trauma-informed, family-centered and gender-responsive treatment for over 50 years. Meta House was also one of the first in the nation to include children in the residential setting.

While the cornerstone of our program is substance abuse treatment, we also offer parenting, vocational and educational services to our clients and a host of services for their children. This holistic approach ensures that as mom gets well, her entire family has the tools to successfully adapt to a life in recovery.

Our Staff

Our staff is made up of seven small teams: leadership team, administration team, child and family team, clinical team, development team, direct service staff, and the evaluations team. Each individual that checks in to Meta House will be directed to one of these teams, depending on their specific situation. We also have a board of directors team which help to coordinate all of the Meta House events.
