Treatment Settings

Residential

Meta House was recognized by the federal government in 2005 as a facility uniquely equipped to help mothers in recovery and their children. Meta House provides 24/7 care and can house up to 43 women and 17 children. Children can stay with their mothers at this treatment setting and can also receive direct services, including play therapy and academic assistance. The average length of stay in our Residential Meta House is 78 days.

Outpatient

If a woman doesn’t need the 24-hour structure of the Residential Treatment Program, the Outpatient Treatment Program is available. Our outpatient programs serve clients through a person centered treatment model. Services include counseling, life skills, education and vocational services, health education, nutrition, parenting, mental health and relapse prevention. Child care is also available on-site. The average length of stay in Outpatient Meta House is 142 days.

Transitional

Our Housing Program was named “Best Practice” winner by the WI HUD office for transitional living facility in 2000. We offer clean, secure, family-friendly transitional and permanent housing for women who are in need of a safe and affordable place to live and are ready for independent living. Eligibility requirements for admission to this treatment setting include: being successful in recovery; continuing with outpatient services; being certified as homeless; and paying at least 30% of their adjusted gross income as rent.
